“As a new customer the check-in process including the paper work was extremely easy and we were made to feel welcome and comfortable. The Doctor was superb! She allowed my husband to be present. She asked a few initial questions, explained the testing process and findings. She answered all of our questions. If you have hearing issues I highly recommend Audio-Logic, PC”

Financing FAQs

Questions Columbus patients ask about paying for hearing aids: what they cost, what insurance and Medicare cover, how FSA and HSA funds work, and what's included with every purchase.

The hearing aid cost depends on the technology level and style that fit your hearing. A model for quiet routines at home costs less than one built for busy restaurants, meetings, and streaming. Dr. Fuchs fits Widex and Signia hearing aids and recommends a level based on your hearing test and the places you spend your day, not on a sales target.

She'll go over pricing with you during your consultation, before you commit to anything. The price includes your fitting, Real Ear Measurement to verify the settings, and three years of cleanings, batteries, and refittings. Columbus police officers and firefighters receive 10% off hearing aids through our Public Servant Hearing Plan.

Sometimes. It depends entirely on your plan. Some plans pay a set amount toward hearing aids every few years, some cover the hearing test but not the devices, and some cover neither. A few require a referral from your primary care provider first.

When AUDIO-LOGIC, PC is a preferred provider for your plan, we bill your insurance directly, so you aren't stuck filing claims yourself. Before your appointment, call the member services number on your insurance card and ask about hearing aid benefits. Then call our office at (402) 564-9198 and we'll tell you whether we're a preferred provider for your plan.

Original Medicare (Parts A and B) does not pay for hearing aids or the exams to fit them. Part B may cover a diagnostic hearing evaluation when you have a hearing concern, so it's worth asking about before your test. Many Medicare Advantage (Part C) plans include a hearing aid allowance, and the amount varies a lot from plan to plan.

Nebraska Medicaid coverage for hearing aids depends on age and eligibility, and children generally have broader coverage than adults. Call your plan to confirm your benefits, then call AUDIO-LOGIC, PC at (402) 564-9198 and we'll talk through how those benefits apply to your hearing care.

More than the devices. Every purchase includes your fitting with Dr. Fuchs, Real Ear Measurement to confirm the hearing aids deliver the sound your hearing test calls for, and three years of cleanings, batteries, and refittings. That care is built into the price up front, so routine visits don't come with a new bill.

Manufacturer warranties are honored, and in-office repairs on in-warranty devices bought here cost little or nothing. Extended coverage for loss and damage is available on some devices, which is worth asking about if you're worried about dropping one. Learn more on our hearing aid repairs page.

Yes. AUDIO-LOGIC, PC accepts Flexible Spending Account (FSA) and Health Savings Account (HSA) funds. Hearing aids, hearing tests, batteries, and many accessories usually count as qualified medical expenses, which means you pay for them with pre-tax dollars. Many patients use FSA or HSA funds to cover what their insurance doesn't.

FSA money often has to be spent by the end of the plan year, so a hearing aid purchase can be a good use of a balance you'd otherwise lose. HSA funds roll over from year to year. Check the rules and deadlines with your plan administrator, then call (402) 564-9198 to schedule your appointment.
